ABOUT THE EVENT:
This is the sixth year for this fun and festive event that celebrates
the victory of the Mexican Army over the French at the Battle of Puebla.
The Cinco De Mayo run is a fast growing and fun 5k and 10k. The race,
which takes place in downtown Portland will kick your running season into
high gear with two great distances on two great courses. This fantastic
event provides entertainment for the whole family!
AFTER RACE PARTY:
Join us after the race for great food from Azteca Mexican restaurants,
beer from Redhook and live Mariachi music!
LOCATION:
The race starts and finishes on Naito near the Salmon St. fountain in
Portland
START TIMES:
5K: 9:00am
10K: 9:00am
Kids race: 8:40am

ABOUT FRR:
This years run is in honor of Clara Johansen. She is a six year
old that was born with a rare degenerative retinal disease.
Because of this we will be supporting
the Foundation for Retinal Research. The Foundation is a wonderful organization
completely dedicated to raising funds to further understand vision impairements
and search for their cures and supporting the lives of affected families
. My hope is that someday this Foundation will be instrumental in helping
r esearchers find a cure th rough gene therapy, pharmaceuticals, prostheics
or transplants. Thank you in advance for your support. If you
